It was a remarkable time when the most sublime people were incarnated around Goethe. They were the disciple who incarnated around Christ and later around Christian Rosenkreutz, with John the Evangelist as Goethe and John the Baptist as Novalis, and my guess is that Magdalene was Lina or Lila von Stichaner. Kaspar Hauser is the Jesus being going through the Second Crucifixion.
This is the mystery Steiner hinted at when he said that it was important for the future to solve the origin of Kaspar Hauser, as told by Count Ludwig Polzer-Hoditz.

His astral body was from Atlantis, from before we developed individuality, just as Enkidu in the Epic of Gilgamesh. He had an immense memory, a sense of truth, and a natural connection with animals. When he developed individuality and logic he lost these faculties.
Kaspar Hauser had an important mission for esoteric Christianity to fulfill. The primary mission of Kaspar Hauser was to awaken the individuality in a pure astral body without egoism and become spiritually conscious including knowledge of reincarnation and karma.
Steiner: „If Kasper Hauser had not lived and died as he did, then the contact between the earth and the heavenly world would have been completely severed.“
The individuality that hid behind the veil of Kaspar Hauser is an Angelic being that has worked inspiringly into the Rosicrucian connection from the very start.
Rudolf Steiner is reported to have said: Alongside Christian Rosenkreutz, Kaspar Hauser is the one who had the greatest understanding of the suffering of Christ. As he is the Nathan Jesus being who Christ shows himself through it's natural.
The spiritual ground for making South Germany into a new Grail Castle had been well prepared by all those personalities whom we know as Goethe, Schiller, Hölderin, Herder, and others.
The adverse powers' goals were to hinder Kaspar Hauser from developing his individuality and spiritual understanding and hinder the creation of the Grail Centre. Goethe et. al. created the cultural atmosphere around KH so he could develop his I, but it was not possible to create the Grail Center, but it was only a secondary goal. They killed him when they didn't succeed in hindering his spiritual development, to hinder him from building the Gral Center. Steiner was more successful in building the Grail Center but it was destroyed by the adverse powers, so it's now up to our time.

Lina von Stichaner aus Ansbach, is one of Kasper’s dearest friends during the last period of his life, the daughter of Franz Joseph von Stichaner, an honored colleague of Anselm von Feuerbach. See Summary.
Another detail, Hauser’s confirmation in his death year, 1833, reminds about an initiation. Following Steiner is 1833 the first year in the new century.
Kaspar Hauser had much more influence on his time than we understand today. From “Kaspar Hauser” by Adam Bittleston:
The widest circle of readers, however, was reached by the novelist Jakob Wasserman, who allowed his imagination a certain amount of play, always with a sensitive understanding for Kasper Hauser's essential qualities. It was Wasserman who said that as powerless as Kasper had been during life, so powerfull he would be after his death. This of course indicates a kind of power very different from that sought by 'the Monster'.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Kaspar Hauser moves still further into the collective consciousness. After Schopenhauer designated himself as the Kaspar Hauser of philosophers, it is the poets who turn to the child of Europe. Georg Trakl also sees himself as Kaspar Hauser. Kurt Tucholsky chooses the name as his pseudonym. In 1908, the successful author Jakob Wasserman authors his famous novel, Caspar Hauser – Inertia of the Heart. He is an important source of inspiration for many, many people. The foundling becomes the pseudonym for “the soul lost in the world” (Sophie Hoechstetter). The mood of the approaching World Wars that, in their own way, bring the issue of the identity and the ‘whence-and-whither’ of the human being, are mirrored in Kaspar Hauser’s world-forsakenness and his abandonment. In 1950, the psychologist Alexander Mitscherlich will coin the concept of the Kaspar-Hauser-complex, to which he accords a culture-defining dimension, such as the Oedipus-complex possessed earlier. He speaks of the increasing isolation of the individual, of being cut off, of deprivation. Already in our time, there are rapidly growing new pathologies that correlate with this complex or syndrome.
The second crucifixion of Christ took place in the 19th century at the end of the Gabriel Age as a result of intense materialism. The consciousness of the angelic being, whom Christ shows himself through, was heavily afflicted by materialism at that time, and as even spiritual beings have to develop on earth this angelic being incarnated as Kaspar Hauser (see #4) with an astral body free of sin(see #1) to create a new pure astral body that could be used as a new model for human development and for Christ to work through.
Ten years after Kaspar Hauser dies starts Michael the fight against the dark powers.
The following text from Anthro Wiki on “The Return of the Christ in the Etheric” describes the situation eminently:
«Since the resurrection, the Christ shows Himself in etheric form. He now reveals himself through an angelic being and lived in this form invisibly connected with the earth at first.
When, from the 16th century onwards, materialistic thinking became more and more prevalent and more and more people with this materialistic attitude passed through the gate of death, this "black sphere of materialism" spread more and more in the spiritual world close to the earth and threatened to shut the earth off completely from the cosmic-spiritual world.
These dark forces were absorbed by the Christ as a great sacrificial act in the sense of the Manichaean principle in order to transform them.
However, this caused a kind of "spiritual suffocation" in the angelic being through whom the Christ revealed himself, which led to the extinction of the consciousness of this angelic being.
This sacrifice of the Christ occurred in the 19th century in the heyday of materialism, where at the same time Michael was wrestling with the Spirits of Darkness, and can be described as a second crucifixion, albeit in the etheric.
But since then the Christ consciousness has been able to revive in the souls of men [KH]. This revival of the Christ consciousness in the souls of men forms the basis for a new clairvoyant consciousness of men from the 20th century onwards, and through this consciousness, men will gradually begin to experience the etheric Christ (Lit.:GA 152, p. 45f).»

This is the birth of the Avatar of Visnu, Kalki, shortly before Kali Yuga ends, here starts the fight against darkness. In Scandinavian mythology, we know him as Vidar, whose reign begins after Ragnarok. After KH’s death throws Michael the adverse powers down to humanity, which would not have been possible if KH had not created a new astral body free of darkness, to replace the discarded body, see #3.
The angelic being, whom Christ shows himself through, is, in the Bible, called the Son of Man:
„And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.“ ~Luke 21:27
„And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.“ ~Mark 13:26
„Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.“ ~Revelation 1:7
There was a large comet in his birth year and a large meteor swarm in his death year, very symbolic.
Rudolf Steiner was the only one who fully understood the theme of the twentieth century, the resurrection of Christ in the darkness of materialism. Christ descended slowly into humanity from 1933 and up through the twentieth century.

«From the thirties to the forties of this [20th] century onwards, individuals will appear who have developed in a way that will enable them to see the etheric Form of Christ, as at the time of Jesus of Nazareth they saw the physical Christ.
And during the next three thousand years the number of those able to behold the etheric Christ will steadily increase, until in about three thousand years, reckoning from the present time, there will be a sufficient number of human beings on the Earth who will need no gospels or other such records, because in their own life of soul they will have actual vision of the Christ.»
The New Age
And we live in these times.
What started with Kaspar Hauser and continued with Rudolf Steiner is ending in these years, Christ is leaving the Cross, he has fully permeated humanity, become conscious in humanity.

When a spiritual seer looks back to the time preceding the Christ event, a striking vision comes before him. The external form of the earth, confronting the physical senses as Maya, vanishes and something comparable to the human form appears, but only a form, a figure. To spiritual vision the outer Mayavic earth … changed into the form of man with arms outstretched in the shape of a cross, a male-female form.
This reminds us of the wonderful words of Plato, words that he drew from the Mysteries, that the world soul is crucified on the cross of the world's body.
